That's what they told us about the April 7th score release. However, scores were out around 3:30 PM central time. How did I learn this? I was sitting in my pre-med advisor's waiting room to talk about app. stuff when my fiancee calls me and says "sweetie your score is up! You made a ...." It turns out she swiped my password and was checking at work for me. It was actually kind of a good thing because it took me by surprise and I just found out without expecting it.

Best of luck to you guys! For those of you worried, I have a friend who got accepted into an MD-PhD program with a 25 MCAT, so don't be scurred!

Grr....I want my score now! lol

I'm on the last half of a 16-hour PAGE and don't have anything else to do today! I'm just watching the clock tick....tick.....tick.....tick...

Haha. Why strictly after 5pm? What is there left to do? I guess I could imagine a bunch of stressed out employees in a backroom of the AAMC, downing coffee and frantically shuffling through the last stack of essays:
"P?"
"no, R"
"Fine, R. Just GO! GO! GO!"
"WAIT! You're putting them in the wrong stack!!"

If they released the scores early in the day, it would ruin your productivity for the rest of the day, either through elation or disappointment or sadness. This way you'll have the night to sleep on it. They're just looking out for you guys. haha 😉

If they are doing 14-day score releases next year, I'm sure the essays are all graded. I think they just wanted to taper down from 60 days to 30 to 14 so people wouldn't complain. Also to allow for any unforeseen problems with the new CBT system. And I doubt they shuffle through stacks; they probably read the writing samples on a computer.

Haha, I think they release the scores after 5pm to cover their own butts! 5pm is proally when they get off work, so they realized that if they release at 5pm, they wont have to deal with the barage of questions till the next day! :laugh: I wonder if they'll get any sleep tonight, thinking about the phonecalls they'll be getting tomorrow lol

Also, about how the scores will show up...when you type in your login name and password in the AAMC website, the next page immediately takes you to a list of the scores you have gotten so far. It looks like this:

SERIES TEST DATE VR PS WS BS TOTAL
(some #) June 15, 2007 15 15 T 15 45T

So, you can use that printer paper (like mentioned above) to cover the screen and start revealing the screen from the left side...haha hope that helped.

I ended up with a fever yesterday and I still got it...nooo idea where it came from, but it could be cuz im so worried..... :scared:

two weeks isn't sufficient, this person obvious has other user names seeing as their first post was the false score alert. i think they shoould get an IP ban ASAP.


By the way how many more hours?? I have an ER shift tonight. Yes I'm already a doctor, I just take the MCAT for fun and stuff.

Ok I had a nightmare this morning right before I woke up. My mcat scores were 7 PS 2 VR 37 BS. Now I know that you cant score more than 15 on a section but it was a dream. The 2 on the VR really scared me. I have now turned off the ringer of all the phones. I have people on my back since yesterday inquiring about my scores. I can't function properly. I don't know what one would consider worse; taking the mcat or the waiting.

You guys should get some food like I did a few years ago when I was anxious and a friend took me out so that I wouldn't be sitting at the computer whole day and then come back in 3 hours. It will be up by then.

You know the what irony about a few years ago when I was waiting for scores like this is?? It was June 15th the day that it happened cuz I had taken the test on April 16th and scores came out a day early. How freaky.

Hey, while we're all waiting, I wondered if anyone has already reserved a retake spot for August or September? Like a $100 insurance policy in case your scores aren't what you had hoped. I wonder if spots will be opening when people get their scores back and cancel their retakes?

I managed to get out of the house and take my 2 year old to Barnes and Noble (his favorite store 😀 ) and then we hit KMart to buy a few things. Now it is nap time and I am supposed to be cleaning, but I am sitting here on SDN!! I need a swift kick in the butt to get me moving!

Yes, I signed up for the August 9th afternoon MCAT right after I took the 6/15 one. So I would assume that you're right, and some spots will open up. I hope mine does!

I'm at work, and actually getting a little work done, but not much. I just ran out to grab a box of take-out sashimi to cheer myself up, and interestingly, I got back to my desk with it, and just realized that they're frozen. So, waiting for my sashimi to thaw....

hahaha your 2-year-old's fav store is barnes and noble? LOL you should introduce him to the mcat section and start getting him ready! 😀

Don't get too excited...it is because they have cupcakes there! 😀 But yes he does love to read books and play with the thomas train set so on rainy days that is where we are. All of the workers know me by name, it is sooo sad!! 😳

Our B&N in Carrollwood portion of Tampa has a toddlers story time and arts and craft session for a couple of hours on Tues. and Fri. mornings.

We have a 4 year old at one of the clinics I volunteer at who loves Thomas the Train like nothing!!!

That is his absolute favorite.

The Carrollwood store in Tampa doesn't have a Thomas the Train set, but they do have a wooden train set and of course as you mention there's sweet junk in the cafe. They have done the kids section very nicely. I think all the 3 B&N's I go to have done the children's section nicely. They have done it, in my opinion, better then Borders or Books a Million.

I wonder if anyone has had an adrenaline overdose because of the THx system. Everytime I get ready to log in I get the rush, cant be too healthy.

In general, I just think they are one of the better bookstores. Like some of the other cool things at our Carrollwood store is that they host book groups like they have this African American book group. They also have this quilting group that comes in, sometimes they even have this jazz musician come in who is part of one of the other book groups and she plays live music. Other days they host a writers club for older people who are wanting to write their own novel. And then the off days when those events aren't happening, the area where they put those events up can be used as a study place since they set up tables and chairs. It is even away from the cafe so it is less distracting.

Another thing they do in terms of children's activities is that they host book fairs for different schools. I thought that was pretty neat.

I wish it wasn't raining on the East coast. Its going to make bad scores all that much more depressing.

I'm a mother of three in my late thirties and my mom still comforts me. Thank goodness for moms, huh? She's right, too. It will be OK. No matter what. Cause this is just one small piece of life's puzzle. Just hard to keep it all in perspective when we've worked so hard and waited so long (and believe me, I've waited a LONG time for this...)

I'm so distracted that in the 45 minutes I've been at work so far (had a midterm earlier) I have:

1) scalded my hand with hot coffee
2) nearly restored data on to the wrong server
3) refreshed SDN nearly once a minute

Good luck people! Wow, you all sound so tense. Making me feel tense, even though my scores are coming out in a month. I should really stop checking SDN.
