I'm around on the 23rd as well. I'll probably be vacating town on the weekend following our Transition to Clerkship thing.

I'm gonna party like it's 1699.
<gets out pom poms> Readyyyyyyyy okkkkkkkk.....Come on Andy you can do it...put a little power to it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone is looking to bolster their confidence, I would recommend taking NBME form 2. I took it today, and was very happy with my correlated score...hopefully it will hold true. Now I just can't let myself get a big head about it and slack off the rest of the week.
Funk, Splat - when are your exams?
Just curious.
My exam is next Wednesday, the 13th. That means that I'll be spending as many hours as humanly possible looking through First Aid over the next three days. Good times.
Looks like Friday the 13th comes on a Wednesday this month.
It's ok, just know everything in your first aid, plus more stuff... like how to read a 12 lead EKG. Were we even ever taught that?
You were supposed to self-teach yourself that the summer before M1 year. Duuuuhhhh................
ps....I'm taking it on the 21st.
Edit: apparently the "Admiral's club just got a first-class upgrade" on computers. These suck. They're über slow and some random pages (like mcw email links) won't open unless i click like 3 times. At least my flight to Oahu's in an hour.
I'm picturing you sitting in the "admiral's club" in an elegant shimmery dress with a cigarette on one of those long cigarette holder thingies and your hair in a totally 30s style fashion, typing away at your computer whilst countless young sailors and businessmen compete for your attention.
How about picture me sitting in an office chair in jeans and a t-shirt sipping an orange juice from a typical plastic airplane cup next to some weird dude in a red striped shirt. I'd be using the terminal's free internet on my computer, but the signal doesn't reach up here, and I don't want to be amongst "the masses" down by the gate quite yet. 😉
my image of the Admiral's Club is shattered.
Pratik, I had no idea you were such a good cheerleader!
Did you take your exam already? Or when is it?

I think I may win for having the weirdest boards time. I take it on the 18th at 1:30pm. Who starts a 8 hour test at 1:30 in the afternoon? Apparently I do.

My parents brought my cat to the airport in our car to meet me. 😀
I've had my mom bring my dog before, but never the cat. I wonder if creepy pre-med has any cats. He seems like the type that would have like 30 with a house full of urine and feces and end up on that Animal Precinct show.
I wish I knew how to sew just so I could make one of these!
Who doesn't want one for winter?
That's really more of a knitting project, to be honest.

I still can't get over that you have cats named Nestle and Not-Nestle. I don't think I want to know what your brother will name his kids.2 of my cats really like riding in cars. One stands up and tries to stick his head out the window (that's Nestle). My parents brought Black Velvet, she just sits happily... if it's night, she watches the lights. I've never been in a car with Not Nestle or our demon cat, Chaka.

Burger King puts Spam on the menu
By Jaymes Song, Associated Press
HONOLULU — For many Americans, spam is a four-letter word for unwanted e-mail. In Hawaii, Spam is a beloved comfort food, with cans of the pork bricks found in virtually every cupboard.
Hoping to cash in on Hawaii's love affair with the canned meat product, Burger King (BKC) last month began offering Spam for breakfast — going head-to-head with rival McDonald's (MCD), which has offered Spam in the islands for years.
Burger King is offering the Spam Platter — two slices of Spam with white rice and scrambled eggs. The fast-food giant also offers the Croissanwich or Biscuit Sandwich with Spam.
Denise Yamauchi, Burger King managing director in Hawaii, says sales have been "very good and very promising." ...
Why is SDN so dead?
Maintaining radio silence in preparation for my sneak attack on Step 1. T minus 24 hours.

Good luck Funk. Soon you too shall feel the sweet release of being post Step 1.
😀 Boy, it sure is hard to avoid thinking about the exam/studying today when no one is around to distract me.
You could be on SDN. My parents are having me clean/pack my room and put my stuff in the storage locker. Not fun.
