Chancery works for me. I'm not particular.

Sounds like a resounding vote for the Chancery! Has anyone put on the Don-Signal yet?

Andy hasn't been on here today either, that I've seen. Someone got his number?

Splat! I just called you. I have to give you directions... I fully intend to drink. Yay me.

And I don't have a directory, so no phone # for Gimlet. Someone has to be more responsible and not have lost theirs!

i'll call you back when this stupid module teaching me to use the froedtert clinical access junk is done.

Don called. Message left. Chancery @ 7 at some table.

Edit: By that, I mean, I called Don. I don't like this stupid homework.

Rawk, I'm all in. Now we just need to get Gimlet there.

Oh, I found my directory. Hopefully the phone # is accurate. I'll give it a try.

He says probably not so much, but he'll try.

I thought you were in Europe? That's a hell of a flight.

Don's sick. He can't come. =(

I promise none of my frustration is levelled at any of you in particular, but this whole operation has become frickin' clownshoes.

Thank you Xandie! It was fun and informative. =)

Sorry you couldn't make it, Don.

Thanks again Xandie! Now I finally understand what call is going to be all about this year.

Oh, and Don--we made urology jokes all the livelong evening.

Yeah, I never quite understood call before. =)

I'm almost done with this stupid homework! it's playing in the background, and I'm not paying attn, because it's a waste of time.

i took notes and watched it very carefully. i think it will provide us with valuable skills to excel in our clinical experience. i intend on going through the entire set of modules again tomorrow after I review my notes to make sure I understand it all.

But did you preview the material before going through the modules? Because we all know the secret to medical school success is preview, view, review.

Gunners. I'm just not paying attention to it. In the current stuff, Clinician Access, I'm kinda looking at the answers in advance.

There's the possibility of meeting again. Who knows when. It took forever to figure out when we were meeting this time.

Edit: as for notes... meh. Xandie explained how call works, and the general gist is don't be a tool.

Here Ashleigh, this is the fabulous online shoe store Xandie and I were talking about earlier.

Thanks for a wonderful and informative evening out Xandie.

We really should do this more often, if we can be more organized. From now on, one person decide a date, time, and place, and whoever can show up, show up.

Oh, and feel free to bring me candy from Hawaii anytime. 😀

Xandie or Don, do yall know what the hours for OB/Gyn at St. Joes is like? A friend wanted to come visit for a few days during the rotation but im not sure how much time ill have.

thanks

Xandieeeeeeeeeee......still waiting!!! 😳

Your call schedule will be determined in advance, so you should get it a few weeks before the rotation starts. If you're not on call during a weekend, then you are off that day. Theoretically, you should *at most* have one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday call, which means you should have 2-3 weekends completely free. Additionally, you'll have one "golden weekend", where you're post-call on a Friday, so you're off for three days.

On a normal, non-call day, you should be done by like 4 or 5. However, that's after arriving to the hospital @ 530 am. Joy joy.

Also, on Fridays, if you're not on call, you're done at 3 because you have afternoon lectures. Tuesdays you're not done until 6, because of lectures from 4-6.

Yay OB/GYN!

Note to self: Installing a new chipset driver on your computer just because the computer-specific driver list on dell.com says it is an urgent upgrade is not a good idea. It may completely bork your computer beyond all reasonable repair and force you to reset to factory specs, which may or may not cause you to lose all sorts of digiphotos and probably will cause your wife all sorts of conternation. Now I just wait for the hammer to be dropped on my punk ass.

I'm getting a new computer in August/September... 160GB from my current 27GB. Thank you very much, pink sony vaio.

ouch. i think i'll back up all my media onto DVDs today.

I lied, it looks like it will be only 80g, due to the school's $1200 computer policy. But oh well.

Also, I might have to use my kidneys as a down payment, but hey? Stuff happens.

bonus points to Ashers, happycows, and myself for badmouthing a professor in front of his son!

more information is needed.

it will be provided in a non-public location to you and those that are within the circle.

I can't wait for this story. Please tell me you've got a PM going as I type. 😀

well guys....

time to get started on the next one, I suppose.

Oh, and Don--we made urology jokes all the livelong evening.

Sorry guys.

My preliminary diagnosis is Staph Aureus food poisoning. Although I did entertain appendicitis around 2am.

I am still feeling a little under the weather, but did make it through the day despite a total lack of sleep.

Thanks for covering for me Xandie. For anyone interested, I'll make myself available every night next week except wednesday. Also, go to the Intro to the wards night on Tuesday.
