and on that note, I also received notification from Barnes and Noble that my fiancee's copy of Harry Potter 7 shipped supposedly, such that we will receive it on the 21st.

I wonder what will arrive first...Mr. Potter or Step 1 score. bets?

Damn it Ashleigh.

I don't think I'm a jinx actually cuz I've been to more games won than lost. And I watched the last 2 on TV. The last game I was at was the game with like 9 runs in one inning.

Yay!

I went to bed in the 5th right after the 2 run homer by the Brewers. I figured D-backs'd lose again. I couldn't stay up for the whole game because I'm gonna go watch ECT this morning, and I have to be at the hospital at 6:15 -- yay for far away hospitals.
 
I got to push the button on the ECT machine to give someone a seizure. 😀

Ya know, before each ECT the patient gets 500mg of IV caffeine. That sounds nice. Of course it is to decrease the seizure threshold before the barbiturate anesthesia...

Since we are sharing stories, today i had a nun with uterine fibroids that was up past her belly button. Had an hysterectomy..developed a hematoma post op...back to OR...was given fluids and blood...went into CHF and Pul hypertension...later developed an ilius. She is all better now
 
So the vice-chair told the chief resident to have me scrub as first assist on an inguinal microscopic varicocelectomy tomorrow.

dammit! i was doing stuff in the kitchen tonight and I SOMEHOW managed to dislocate a knee.
 
worked a standby at the zoo today. had my second attractive patient in my EMS career 😀 of course, it turned out to be somebody I went to high school with :laugh:

apparently the pass rate for our class was about 80% though, from the buzz coming from the registrar's office. not cool.
 
No report. I came home in between outpatient psych in Pewaukee and inpatient psych in Menomonee Falls to check. Then I checked again after work. I'm hoping for tomorrow. :scared:

Not for much longer. My parents want it sold before the end of summer, so then they can move to Spokane or Tucson, but most likely, Spokane.

Edit: Don't mind the ugly bed spreads. The only one we actually own is the blue one. We have some sort of home "stager" that must think they look good. The orange/green fluorescent one is horrible.
 
Holy damn, that is one expensive house. I hope I can afford something like that someday....probably not.
 
I love the kitchen...the floors are awesome too.

Edit: Is that square footage right? It sounds low for a 4 BR, 3 bath home.

We bought it in 1998 overpriced for $650K. It's on 0.25 acre. Maui's land mass isn't actively growing, so that makes land a hot commodity. The Big Island is growing, but it's not a good place to live on the lava fields.

The minimum house price last year on Maui was $350K for a tear down on a really small lot (<0.25 acre).

Edit: I love the floors too. Koa wood. Now it's pretty rare, and really really really really expensive to do, so most people get Koa wood knock offs. We bought the house from the guy who built it, and his family lived in it. So they had pretty nice touches to it.

Edit #2: It's not that bad a drive to the hospital for anyone who's on call. 😉 Maybe 20min in bad traffic.

Edit #3: Sq footage is off... my mom (and www.zillow.com) said it's like 3345. She had to call the realtor back after she saw what they put.
