Hey everyone,
I just wrote AAMC 9 and I am almost happy with my score.
12PS 10VR 12BS
This is my last AAMC (just do some light review of some physics stuff tomorrow and maybe a couple essays) then do the beast on Saturday.
12PS...I found this PS pretty tough, quite a few little mistakes here and there...I find it sometimes difficult to differentiate between some answers on the verbal-like passages.
10VR...I didn't find this VR as bad as I've found some others...answers were definitely vague but I've realized that intuition typically reigns. I was 1 mark away from 11, but I had to rush through the last passage and ended up with 4 questions wrong
. I hopefully I can pull a 50+/60 and end up with an 11 or possibly 12.
12BS...again I get this score. I am sooo close to 13 it hurts. I got rocked on a Micro passage near the end and that pretty much brought my from 71 right down to 68. Also, once again, I make my little organic mistake...this, thought I read an alcohol as an alkene, thus my reagents selected to convert it into something else was wrong. I don't think I've EVER made such a mistake, even when taking organic chemistry in school.
I found the sections not that bad, but then it was this test that I finally got used to the change in style of the PS (it had a larger percentage of verbal-like passages)
Test history....
Kaplan Diagnostic 8PS 9VR 10BS -> 27
Kaplan #1 10PS 7VR 11BS -> 28
Kaplan #2 10PS 8VR 11BS -> 29
Kaplan #3 11PS 10VR 11BS -> 32
Kaplan #4 11PS 11VR 10BS -> 32
AAMC 4R 10PS 10VR 10BS -> 30
Kaplan #5 10PS 7VR 11BS -> 28<--- still shocked by this score
AAMC 5R 12PS 10VR 12BS -> 34
AAMC 6R 11PS 11VR 12BS -> 34
AAMC 7 11PS 7VR 12BS -> 30
AAMC 8 10PS 9VR 12BS -> 31
AAMC 9 12PS 10VR 12BS -> 34
So with a score of 34, that could have just as easily been 36, I say good luck to everyone and hope that we can celebrate together after this is all over.
