thanks! i submitted but i just think thats gonna be a while to wait and if i dont get in i want to know asap just so i can have a plan B or C🙁

Ohhhhh makes sense. My transcript was supposed to arrive on the first, but I thought by the time they processed it, it would have been too late.
 
Is the website down for anyone else? Earlier on in the day it said the domain had expired and now it just shows this perpetual loading indicator.
 
For some reason the website is still down for me.

I'm still waiting on UMDNJ to put my application in review.
 
Don't worry about what other people are doing or whose applying. Focus on being you! How do you think people lose races? They pause for a minute to take a look at whose behind them, and then they get passed by someone focused completely solely on the finish line.

Freaking out because for some reason they haven't received my LOR (which was sent in before the transcript). I called and they said they don't have it anywhere on file, and I know my professor sent it in the end of January. I'm guessing they've lost it when he faxed it..
I think I'm going to miss the 15th deadline :scared:
 
If your app is in review it should be fine. As long as you tried to submit your LOR by the first..I think you'll be alright.

Have you professor resend it.

What I did was asked my professors for a separate copy, just in case if something crazy like that happened.
 
My professor just emailed me that he resent them. He said he got a confirmation that the fax was received on their end. I'll call tomorrow to confirm with the office that they received it. I'm going to be so bummed if I don't get a decision by the 15th because my LOR was lost. :bullcrap:

Well, I'll just keep my fingers tightly crossed. Not much else I can do. Future SMDEP'ers, learn from my mistake !!! Get a copy of the LOR and Rec form and confirm that they've been received through their office....
 
Yeah not gonna lie I'm pretty confused. I got an email saying that my app is "incomplete" because I have an LOR missing. Are these automatically sent out if the system indicates a missing app? Because my app said "completed" on the site since 2/1 and "in review" since 2/3, even with 1 letter of rec missing (WHICH, BTW, my professor submitted back at the beginning of Jan).

And everytime ive tried to call SMDEP ive been on hold for an hour and then automatically disconnected.

Website was down this morning and now it is up.
I also had a difficult time getting my application complete before Feb 1st because my transcript was nowhere to be found and then they found it luckily before the first deadline.

the same thing happened to me! And my professor has sent it twice now because they said it wasn't on file -___-"

Omg I seriously think someone isn't doing their job in there. I sent my LOR end of January and before my transcript, and my transcript was verified first. I think we should make sure that we contact them about it because its not fair if we don't get an early acceptance because they lost it. I tried contacting them all day and I got through in the morning (I live in CA and every time I've called around 8-9AM I got through in 5 mins or less). They told me to call someone named Anthony and they gave his direct line, but every time I called it would go to voicemail after a few rings. Has anyone else been told to contact him? I left a message, but I hope they clear this up tomorrow or else... 😡 :nono:
 
Also, is anyone else's UCLA application not in review? Both Columbia and Yale have been reviewing mine since the 4th, but not UCLA....
 
Im assuming Duke is the same....My others are in review

I havent been redirected to anyone named Anthony, but I am going to be calling them all day tomorrow morning! Today, I called and was on hold for an hour. But, I am determined to set things straight tomorrow cuz it isnt fair at all if out applications aren't review by early decision.
 
My UMDNJ is still not under review. I know it probably is, but they probably just haven't updated their system yet. From what I understand, if you completed on or before the 1st you should get it on the 15th. If not, I've read that you should give them a call.

Hopefully this is all cleared up. I'm going to confirm if UCLA has been reviewing my app.

I'm a bit confused, two of the sites are in review right now so does that mean I would get a decision by the 15th (if hopefully they find and update my LOR tomorrow)? Because my app was completed on the 4th and I've been in review since then. I'm just double checking since I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone 😕

I think you should be good with one letter of rec, atleast if its the better one!

It has nothing to do with that at all. My application was COMPLETED on 1/09 and the first application to be reviewed for me was UCLA, a week or so later, Columbia and just a few days ago, University of Washington. Just be patient. If it doesn't have your app in review, it doesn't mean it will affect you.
 
Tomorrow decisions are released! I'm not sure if I'll get into any or not but wether I do or don't, it was a great journey SMDEP'ers! It's been a privilege threading with everyone!:banana:

Yeah! Guess that answers my previous questions...lol.

I was skimming through last year's thread and apparently some people found out at 10/11PM (EST?) the 14th....who knows, maybe we'll know tonight?

I got the email too but it said nothing about being wait listed. Is there even a wait list this yr?

I also saw that a while ago, and was wondering why they got it so early. For the 2011 and 2010 group, however, they all got it on the 5th (early morning). But I'll be checking at midnight, and then tomorrow before my classes!

I just bombed my chem 2 exam..fml right? Lol it's an intro course my proff turns it into a freaking major course...WHYY!!!:scared: Good luck on your exam!

Haha I know what you mean; I should be writing a paper right now but I'm constantly refreshing the site since there's a chance we'd get our results a bit early.

I plan on celebrating single awareness day till midnight and then I'll check if I got in anywhere. If I don't, I'll drown my sorrow in... uh punch, and if I do get in then I'm celebrating !
