I have some silly questions about sending the official transcript. I am going to be a undergraduate senior in the coming fall and applying for some MPH programs at the same time. When I send my official transcript during the semester, say November, it will not show my final grades for the semester, right? And neither will it show my class schedule for the spring semester?

So does that mean I should mail an updated official transcript sometime later (December, January)??

Thanks a lot!

From what I remember I don't think you can send an updated transcript through SOPHAS after your file is verified. You might as well wait until you get your final grades for the semester until you send your transcript in, however I would recommend e-submitting early since Dec./Jan., are peak times for prospective students submitting applications.

Thank you. The thing is the deadlines for some of the programs are in early or mid- December. So technically I need to get everything submitted by then? If SOPHAS does not allow resubmitting transcript, may I just mail the school a hard copy? Will that work?

Is there a reason why you need your fall semester grades? Only way to meet the December deadlines is to send your transcripts in earlier, but like what was stated above if you have not graduated you have to send the school that you ultimately choose a final transcript. Since I had finished undergrad before I applied I didn't have to do that last step. It's better to apply early than to apply late with "better" grades.

You could try contacting schools individually if you can send an updated transcript of your fall grades but each school has their own policies on if they will allow this.

My grades are pretty good so far so I wouldn't mind send them early. But I am taking some important and relevant classes like Biostat, Epi and HIV prevention in my senior year (I'm a public health undergrad major). I feel like it would be advantageous to have these courses shown in my transcript.

Your courses will (should) appear on your transcript the moment you sign up for them, just without grades.
