Hello friends,

Just updating you that I received my wait list letter today from UF. It's official.

Although I'm not pleased with being wait listed, it sure is better than a rejection. Now, I need to prove that I deserve that spot (there's bound to be one!). I have ideas...but I need all the advice I can get.

I'm expecting to get at least one B this semester (in a 4 credit Microbio. course). I'm working my tail off to get As in the others; hopefully I can pull off a miracle (currently taking 16 credits...should boost my 3.45 gpa if I get As)

Best of luck OCDFlosser! I definitely think that if you work hard and finish this semester with great grades (All As and 1 B in upper level sciences is still awesome), you will be considered for that next open spot. From what I have seen you are a very passionate/determined person and fighting for this spot will make it even more of an accomplishment!
Plus, I would love to have you with me at UF! 😳

🙂 good to know! I know of at least 2 others who said they are going elsewhere (my classmates). So I feel a little better knowing we will have some leeway. So happy 🙂)

I have a question...could the post dec interviewees move somebody who is on the wait list from pre-dec down the list or take a spot for the class?

I think so. Depends on the school, though. For UF, all post-dec interviewees find out if they're in on March 1st. Usually this means they are competing for the same spots as those on the WL. The adcom compares all of those on the WL to those who just interviewed.

I'm assuming you're wondering about Oklahoma? I would call and ask on Monday. It doesn't hurt to show extra interest!
