This type of thread is a good idea (and not only for UNLV).

That said, I'm really excited about my interview there. I've heard some fantastic things about their program.

Has anyone received an interview invite to UNLV with an AADSAS mail date on or after 7/29? I am going crazy waiting to hear back from them! Its the only school I applied to.

You really applied to only one school? Why didn't you apply to more than that? Most applicants typically apply to 10-15 or more.

Yes, just the one. My husband is in the Air Force and is stationed here in Las Vegas. We have a two year old daughter and definitely want to keep our family together. I've only got my one egg in UNLV's basket. I want to go down there and jump up and down yelling "PICK ME, PICK ME!" but am refraining for now.

My husband can retire in 2.5 years and we will be more flexible then but I hope hope hope to be halfway through my second year of dental school by then.

That's a pretty unique situation, and having a 2-year old daughter myself, I can't say I blame you one bit for approaching it the way you are. I really hope you get in there. It certainly doesn't hurt to be non-traditional, in-state, and a current UNLV student. Good luck.

I would!!! But too bad mines a week after. And my whole fam is coming with me to Vegas to "support" me. They seem happier I got an interview in Vegas than happy I got an interview period. Haha Jk.

I sent my supplemental application in 8/10, are you suppose to get something confirming that they got it or do you just get an interview email? It says wait 2-4 weeks, which is about now, so I was just wondering before I call them.

Give them around a month to process your application (after your supplemental was sent).
