Try posting an announcement in the HPA thread. That might get peoples attention (and get them here). . . Hmm 8 days and I'll know if this post is justified.
Couples dinner is for local people with bf/gfs. Upstate used to be state/ and regionally selective. So the entering class used to be from the surrounding area. It wasn't weird to have your gf/bf come and hangout during orientation. Times have changed a little.

Geldrop - That is funny about the orientation! My friend started school yesterday and they only had a 9-5pm orientation and then a breakfast this morning. I guess we will get to really know each other during that first week!
the reason for the couples dinner is that bf/gfs are not allowed to come to the dinner/dance in order to get people to hang out with each other its usuly a small thing that not many people go to.
Orientation is a fun week there are a lot of things that happen that arent on the scedule that are aranged by the orientation advisors(2nd years)
there is a decent % of out of staters i forget the numbers and it is probaly going up
the orientation is not really optional but you can probaly skip most things if you wanted to

Did anyone get a box of exams from there big sib ? Mind didn't have any. I was supposed to get some from another MS1 today at the lib, but he didn't show up. Can anyone help me out?
EDIT: He came through.. I am going to take this 500 page stack to Kinkos and have it copied for me.. this would take hours.. 🙂 thank god i got it though.. at 25c a page this will be 125$, about the cost of a textbook. so i guess i can rationalize the cost.
