I had my interview on Monday. Here is the run-down on how they do things. I interviewed with a doctor on the admissions committee, so he knows what he's talking about!
The committe meets every Tuesday to discuss the last weeks interviews. You are graded on a point system for grades, test scores, letters, experience and your interview. The highest (like way highest) points will get a acceptance letter within that first few weeks after they interview. Those who do poorly will get a rejection letter in that first few weeks. Those of us in the middle (the majority) have to wait it out. He said that as they interview more applicants, that "cut-off" point value for who gets in will change and as it goes down, they will accept more people that have already interviewed and have been waiting. So, if you're in that middle ground, it could be until March that you hear. They will be done interviewing in Feb. with all decsions out by March.
I hope that answers a lot of questions. They asked me if I had any questions about their process and I was like "hell yeah I do...talk away!". He was very helpful. And, for those of you who interviewed last year, that mean lady at the desk is gone! haha.
