Sorry if this is rude, but does anyone know if any applicants were truly rejected today even though none have recently posted on the rejection thread? Probably a stupid question and I'll probably be apart of the answer come tomorrow, lol, but I was just curious.
 
Mine says "decision" but no call yet...does anyone else have that. I'm guessing thats a waitlist/rejection
 
I do. It just says decision... no other items required or anything (but I do have all my pre-reqs completed already).

Yea it's torture. I guess we'll find out in the morning!

Yeah, my status changed to decision. I have a prereq listed as a condition of admission but nothing about a fee/deposit so I'm thinking waitlist. Not what I was hoping for but better than a rejection.

No change, no call. I'm not sure if that means rejection or if they are actually still "academically reviewing" me.
 
I don't want to give a huge amount of false hope (and then have you all hate me if things don't turn out well)...but... I got an acceptance call yesterday, as you know...

Well my status page has changed to decision, but there is no mention anywhere of deposits due...absolutely nothing listed in my app status except 'Decision'....so, all hope is not lost if that's all you see too....there is just the slightest alarm going off in the back of my mind, like "oh my god, did they call me on accident yesterday?!" :scared:
 
Did they call anyone this early yesterday? Maybe this is an afternoon activity? I'm just making stuff up so that I can be going slightly less insane.

Don't worry, Kiki. My status just changed to "Decision" a few minutes ago even though they called me yesterday morning and there's no mention of deposits of any kind. I called and they said they are a little behind on updating the status page but you should get a letter in the mail with all the information.

For everyone else who's waiting, don't give up hope just yet! It's not over until it's over! 🙂

Yesterday this was posted at 8:28am. So they are calling in the mornings and afternoons as another one (last acceptance post from yesterday) was posted at 12:30ish.

I am in Central time and I think my post times show up in Central. So it could just be a morning thing if that post was 12:30 central, but 11:30 eastern (Ohio's time). But you never know and today that may have it scheduled to call in the afternoon instead of the mornings. Or they could be reviewing today and calling tomorrow! (Way to get your hopes up from another day, huh?)
 
Well I just checked my status page and it says decision. But when I click through to required items it says:

A decision has been made on your application. To ensure privacy, you will receive written notification of that decision by mail.

What does everyone else's say? I assume this is a "We regret to inform you..." letter since they called the people accepted. And no one else has mentioned this. 🙁
 
Mine said that last year and it was a rejection letter. 🙁 🙁 🙁

Mine came about 9am. I assume they are just over there calling everyone marathon-style until they get done? :shrug:

Mine says "decision" and asks for a deposit and professional fee, but as of yet...no call. >insert giant question mark above my head<

Gah I'm still freakin' AcadReview! Most likely that means rejected but at least change! Jesus lol.
 
I called them. You should call. You probably got in since you have the whole fee thing working for you. Mine said nothing about fees.
 
My status changed to decision yesterday and I didn't receive a call. So, I called them and they told me I was accepted. Then, I just received the "official" call this afternoon. My opinion is to call them if you want your answer either way.

Also, I had the "condition of admission" for micro and mol gen. I completed mol gen in the fall and I am taking micro now. So, I think that statement is based on the classes you had completed at the time you sent in your application. I even go to osu so they would have my records updated as soon as I complete the class. I would assume that if you don't have any pre-reqs left, then you would have the fees/deposit thing listed. (This is just a guess, especially for OOS).

For those on acad review- that doesn't necessarily mean you don't have a decision yet. All that means is that Amber hasn't entered your information into the computer yet.

Accepted!! Just got a phone call from Amber offering me an IS seat. Third time was a charm!!! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back.
 
Ok, here's a story for you. I finally decided to call and I used the number listed on the status page email. The woman told me she couldn't tell me the decision over the phone and that I had to wait for the letter. I knew that wasn't true but she wasn't budging. 😡

I just came home from lunch and there was a message from April on my answering machine: I've been accepted!!!! 😱

I actually found (for sure) while I was at work, so all vet/tech coworkers got to celebrate with me. 🙂

For the record - Mine said "decision" for hoooooours (btw lik 6-10pm last night) with nothing new under "items required". Then for some reason after 10pm I saw the professional fee & vetmed deposit stuff.

And mine also says that nonsense about "a decision has been made.... for privacy... blah blah". That in-of-itself doesn't mean a rejection.
 
man...mine says decision but with nothing else about fees 🙁 I called and they transferred me to a voicemail. I guess i'm rejected nooooo!! I'm praying im on the waiting list
 
I am still in AcadReview. Should I just call or be patient? I'm tempted to call but I'm sure they're swamped as is...

Anyhow at this stage for an OOSer it's either rejection or Waitlist at best I'm sure. There's been half the OOS slots filled up from SDN alone, and I'm sure there's a lot more OOS applicants that aren't on SDN than are.

Yes. I had a status change. Same one everyone else had (decision and privacy will send in snail mail..) and it said nothing about conditions or fees. Called them, and am rejected. Worst phone call ever, but at least I know and don't have to wait to find out anymore. (OOS) =/

So I have a theory. No one seems to have been told they are an alternate yet. I'm thinking....if you have "decision" on your status page without fees you probably are rejected... and if it is still in AcadReview then you are an alternate. That's just a theory! Everyone whose status changed and have gotten in touch with the school have been either accepted or rejected. (I hope this theory isn't true because that means i'll be rejected hah)
 
I had that same thought cross my mind as well but it seemed odd that they'd tell rejections before alternates. That and I'd like to not get my hopes up lol.

If I'm still AcadReview by 3:00 PM CST tomorrow, I'm calling them to see if I can glean any additional info.
 
Accepted!!! They called me while I was driving to Philly for my Upenn interview tomorrow and I nearly crashed! I'm TOO excited!

Nah I'm still an Aggie and always will be. Plus, I've an interview with A&M on the 26th. But being accepted some where prior to that as a safety net wouldn't be bad, not bad at all. :laugh:

And I can be Hopeful about more than just getting into vet school. Once I get in, I can be Hopeful about the first year, then second and so on. Or hopeful that one day I'll come home and BAM, chocolate cake magically sitting on the table. There's lots of stuff to make my name still applicable!
 
Oh well natch. Even I use my avatar to identify myself. I plan on putting a slash down the middle and going half-sies on the logos.
 
Nah, you should donate and join the "we're cool because our avatar MOVES" crowd - there's currently one member... lol. You could show the ATM logo getting squashed by a giant foot, Monty Python style. I think that would be pretty classy.
 
Hmm...maybe I'll just make the two sides flip or something. Or morph into each other.

...that means I got some **** I gotta learn. Starting with how did you get past the size restrictions? Is it due to your Donor powers or does the forum itself just try to appease you?

Well I got up the nerve to call today...not accepted. The lady was super nice. I could kind of tell she hates this part.

I only applied to two schools and I should find out the other in March.

I know I haven't posted a lot on this forum, but I just called the office. My status was still in AcadReview. She told me that I was on the wait list. Hope that helps.
 
yesterday I got a call saying I was offered admissions. But I got that call on the 23rd of december. It was a little awkward and I told them I promise I sounded much more excited the first time. Did this happen to anyone else?

Awwwkwwwaaaarrdd... I got my call on 12/21, and so far haven't gotten a second.
 
Ok so it's 3:00 PM CST and I'm still AcadReview so I called them. I am Wait listed at spot 13 out of 30. Guess there's more waiting to do now lol.

13 out of 30, those odds sound good to me!! And I will almost definitely be turning down my OOS seat... hang in there!!
