Anyone receive an interiew invitation or application complete notice lately? Or has anyone been accepted at all yet? I'm still waiting for anything from them.

I interviewed at the end of October. I have heard nothing yet regarding acceptance/rejection/wait list. Somebody here on SDN has been accepted. I recently called the admissions office and they have started to send out notices of acceptance, etc. Hope this helps and good luck to all who applied.

Interviewed Dec. 6th, was invited to interview 1 wk after receiving app complete email, also heard nothing so far in the way of a decision...anyone get accepted? They'll probably leave me hanging till March 
. For those that haven't interviewed or received app complete email, make sure AMCAS has actually sent your verified app to UMass. They won't touch your file until that happens. Also like many other schools UMass is pretty far behind in the process, so don't be too discouraged.

I think I told you in a previous post that I got my "application complete" notification and my interview invitation on November 28 and interviewed on December 11. Since then, I have heard nothing.
When I talked to other people at the interview, they told me that their time span between their interview invitation to scheduled-interview-date was one week, just as it was for me. (I had to reschedule the date they gave me, which was OK with them.)
At the interview, the director of admissions said that they had interviewed only a small fraction of the number they have usually seen by mid-December--their problems with AMCAS were pretty significant (i.e., they were never informed how to access our applications and what they have now are pieces). So don't give up hope--they'll contact you soon!

I also interviewed on December 11th and received the invite by email on December 5th. I got an email that my app was complete on November 19th. They seemed pretty annoyed with AMCAS and didn't have many verified apps. I havent heard anything since the interview though...

I am not "from" New York; I am "in" New York! I grew up in Boston (and what is more important to UMass, graduated from a Boston high school) and went to college in Cambridge. Currently, I am living and working in scenic Rochester, NY, where my husband goes to school.
But, believe me, I go "home" to Boston (and really rather frequently! It's only a 6 hour drive...).

Thanks for posting replies, guys. I'm just curious though...is anyone out there STILL waiting for an "application complete" email? My application has been verified now for over 2 months and UMass still hasn't received the peach-colored verified application from scAMCAS.

the app complete email I got was weird....i got the email and it said it was from the system administrator at Umass and the title was Undeliverable: UMASS Medical School Application...
it was like it was sent back to the admissions office or something..but inside the email was an attachment email type of thing that had my the email they meant to send me..so not sure if that made sense but the app complete email that was sent to me was quite bazaar and they may have some sort of email difficulty or something..no idea but i just thought i'd mention that..if it made sense to anyone!

Yes, I called them and I was told that they have received two copies of my application (and AMCAS did tell me that they sent two), but the peach one hasn't been received yet. My app isn't complete without it, I guess. Ahhh...AMCAS is driving me nuts.

I still haven't got an application complete message from UMass. I have called them twice, and they just don't have my verified AMCAS form. None of the schools I have aplied to have my application.
UMass is waiting for AMCAS to send them to UMass, and apparantly, AMCAS waits for schools to request applications.
I hate AMCAS.

I had the same fight with AMCAS. They said that they hadn't sent it and that the school had to request it, at which point I got really angry and sent them some choice words asking what my hundreds of dollars were paying for.
Damn them all.

I guess mine was purple too. I have trouble with colors..oops..pink and purple can sometimes be tough to distinguish!

I'm glad to hear that us Mass people are slowly getting interviews. Everyone, please let us know when you get accepted. At this point I'd be just as happy to hear that ANYONE from SDN got accepted, regardless of whether it's me or not!

Does anyone know the timeframe for UMass decisions?? I didn't really come out of the interview with a clear answer on that. Is there a certain time that they usually send batches of acceptances/rejections? My impression was that it could be a long wait! I hate waiting!

I applied there two years ago, interviewed in November and didn't get my rejection until April. I think that they do hold onto the rejections until a certain point. Of course who knows how things are going to work in this crazy year.
