This series of questions feels… weird.
Agreed.

I could easily walk back my read of samac, because I'm not sure how many games I ever lived past early game when she was wolfing, and if I don't realize someone is a wolf before I am killed the meta often doesn't make an impression on me. Wolfing with her when we converted her in RvB also didn't really teach me much there either.

That’s a weird question, isn’t it?

I mean, defending someone is always a gamble in case you’re wrong. Especially day 1.
No? It's not like you're locked into a read just because you defended someone before.

Particularly an >85% read to me reads extreme confidence. Especially with the surrounding context that no one else is anywhere near me even when True is village reading them.

I feel like that is very NAI for cray
Why is AM’s vote perplexing? It doesn’t really seem out of her norm imo

Prepare yourself, AM
At risk of answering for fluff, I didn't read that as she was village reading me for trying to be helpful before, but that she was rebutting AM finding it odd that I'm expressing pro-noob feelings and that that would play a role in her wolf read of me.

I agree that I shouldn't be town read for strat posts or trying to be helpful to noobs.

Maybe it helps to see that in some ways, I'm less pro-noob and more just, at risk of edging towards the personal attack side, anti-some players or some aspects of site meta. But I can't really win that war I think without embracing the noobs.

AM, that's a joking reference to my very first read in my first game.

Makes it easier to be misyeeted and harder to defend yourself if you have to answer for defending and siding with a wolf. No?
If the only thing you can say you've done in a game is defend a wolf, that's on you.

So… feels different how?
TN's style has a light and breezy feel overall, but when wolf there were undercurrents of seriousness and just posts feeling kinda like, I don't know, like when a dog that was previously happy go lucky just sorta turns on you and growls and snaps out of nowhere. I admit some of this imagery is probably influenced by his pfp.

He definitely felt more like he had an agenda he was pushing, and that agenda was stirring sus. He feels a bit more aimless now. Granted, it's D1 so if he's wolfing he may not have his sea legs yet for that, so I will be watching.

If the only thing you can say you've done in a game is defend a wolf, that's on you.
I mean, True did a lot of things last game but it was still his defense of Fluff that got him yeeted. If he had been village it would have been a misyeet

Samac pls. Is this reverse pocketing psychology.

@samac what did you think about Cray’s list overall?

Did you find the fact that she posted a list unsettling?
The fact it was posted made me uneasy, but it especially didn’t help it was wishywashy on so many people. On the other side of the coin it’s easier to be less wishywashy as a wolf.
Don't have enough clear thoughts to make a colored list, but I've got a few clumps in my head.

Zenge is still feeling nose-tickly enough that I can't quite bring myself to unvote him, even though I'm enjoyed his activity and banter. I always like when people are posting and having fun and I don't want to punish that with a vote, but... vibes

Most folks are still in the wobbly yellow camp, especially people like WOxy who haven't been on thread much. Zuri is here but I've liked his posts so far. Fluff feels like actual-village-fluff right now, not wolf-fluff-but-I'm-saying-village-fluff-because-I'm-also-a-wolf. Other notable wobbly-yellow people are you and Sporty.

As for folks who've accumulated enough points to be light green, it's just AM (85-95% chance to be village by my calculations) and Cray. Cray feels wild but... not in a wolfy way.
I’m personally offended I’m nowhere there.
WHAT
SAY I'M WOLF RIGHT NOW
Hmmmm
Okay
Unyeet fluff
Yeet dubz

I didn’t like zuri or o2’s thread entrances and neither has done anything to make me feel differently so I’m interested in voting there.
The more cray posts the more I’m unsure if she’s just trying to keep unrelated posts going for thread count and presence and it’s making me twitchy.

I am very interested in why you decided to say “dragged to the finish line in a bunch of bull****”
What made you decide to make that comment?

It’s a new thing from my experience. The anger for salt is something I don’t think I’ve seen cray have before.

I had no idea you got yeeted in SPN. I guess that was after my demise. But god damn you were a hard push in bowling.

I don’t remember why I quoted this. Was I asked why?

Interesting.

Does anyone know the last time cray put a list like this out there in this manner? This kinda shocked me.

I was trying to get the answers out of dubz I wanted without directly pointing out what I wanted
So, salt votes are a type of "RVS" vote, or random vote. People used to literally sometimes use an RNG to place them. There are definitely past games going back years where I railed against them.

As for the salt votes, we have to hit a certain threshold before I speak out about them.

Not exactly sure why I was triggered this game, but it might be because it looked like some noobs did it too? But at this point if I see noobs doing things I don't like I'm more likely to go after their role models for it.

I used to put out read lists like that early every game. I stopped because it felt like too much work since the baby, and before that I think I wasn't feeling as confident, and I also hate doing it when wolfing. I certainly can and will do it as a wolf, but lately I just wasn't villaging hard enough to want to make it be a thing I'd have to do for my wolf meta too. As village I always give less ****s about anything.

It also helps this roster is small. I always used to post like the read lists like that so I wouldn't forget to think about anyone playing.

First one was to see if she would say she was frustrated over what I thought she would be frustrated about without handing it to her. if she was a wolf I didn’t want to hand what I was thinking to her as an out because I could see village!dubz frustrated about the circle.

The second was because zenge had a couple posts early on I did not like and was curious if she was the same thing or something different.

Classroom -> wolf
10th anniversary village, misyeeted
I forgot about this. She was misyeeted in 10 Ann when I was wolfing? I know I had placed her as LHF that game. And you guys wonder why my bias is that she's LHF. Maybe I'm behind the times and wrong, but my thought process there should make sense.

I think I made my point clear.

he went down for defending a wolf. Period.
As I said, if the only thing you're known for is defending a wolf, that's your problem. He was known for that. He died. He was a wolf.

I fail to see how why a villager would be afraid of redirecting attention off their highest village read.

ACTUALLY
Zenge you literally just did this with genny and also have been, to my chagrin, vocal about village-reading me. So what gives with this argument at all.

I’m sayi
I've lost track of what the point of this argument is
I’m saying defending someone, even a village read, can be risky, especially D1, because if you’re wrong, it can get you yeeted, regardless of your affiliation or what else you’ve done to prove your village bonanzas

I’m very uncomfy and I don’t know what’s causing it.
It's the fact that you're voting for Dubz, it often causes nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea

Oh? Give me your real readslist then. I don't want jokes.
AM, it is a real reads list. The only joke is in a parenthetical, and it's the percentages. Most people don't calculate actual percentages, it's not a reasonable thing for someone to do.

I apologize. I need to remember that you tend to read everything extremely literally.

Fluff’s posts are tonally inconsistent with her wolf games.
Agreed.

Not a master of reading SP, but she is dropping down out of my wolf reads (which was really what I would call a paranoia read because she village read me) based on her contributions to thread so far.

Don’t get too cocky. I’m not village reading you. I just said one post sounded villagey

Maybe it's time to put the joke to rest then.

Circling back to my original question, does it make any sense not to defend a top village read?

Samac on fluff feels kinda bad in view of the last few posts I been reading and quoting.

Samac, still think fluff is wolfiest? Can you explain to me again why you voted there to begin with?

Wo2 vote feels opportunistic just looking at the tally and not remembering any context for how they got there.

My instinct is to vote alongside genny on AM, because liking genny, and I generally love a reason to vote AM, yet I have to say not getting the wolfing vibe out of her at this point so that doesn't feel right as a vote either.

Also not sure I like zuri and true on Z, but then again not sure I like Z's play as village-y.

I think I'm waffling between Samac, Dubz, and Z at the moment. I need more. I hate to not vote before waffletime though. Also with baby if I don't have a vote down at all times I run the risk of it just not happening at all.

No but I'm not going to punish her for something I asked her to do after last game ended lol
Yeah, this too. The thing about not summarizing my reads stung too.

I thought it was obvs I was wolf reading TN when I said "omg this is the wolfiest bunch of BS ever" or some such, but I forget village doesn't do "subtle"

Maybe it's time to put the joke to rest then.

I've never made that joke before. Bluntly, if I were to avoid making any joke that you might not parse correctly, I would have to avoid all jokes.

And as I've already explained for you, part of my village read is the way that you defended yourself. I can't time travel.

Did I defend genny? Felt more like I gave a thought process and explored my thinking with people on thread.

Also, your fixation on needing to be defended is very strange, to the point of making me question my read on you.

Are you suggesting Cray is Wolfy for village reading you? Because her progression on you has felt pretty well discussed and explained as she’s moved throughout the day.
While I appreciate this sentiment, it feels like this comment is a little tangential for what samac actually said.

You trying to pocket me Zenge?

Omg, this is why I am never in the village blocc. Anyone that even might suggest I am village I auto wolf read for it. 😪

Well to be fair that was like right before you died and I died right after/was already on him as soon as you flipped village. When I talked about it not being clear you were sussing him any more than the baseline sus of everyone, I meant earlier in the game.
