😱

Not to derail this thread BUT what was your approach to the OKAPs?

There is a paucity of information on OKAP scores and relevant study methods. And no one really talks about their scores on SDN.

Kind of wish we had a thread devoted to it!

as a 1st yr (2 yrs ago) i scored 94th %, which was a 582 total.

I wouldn't worry about it... just show year-after-year improvements.

Strong work boss. Congrats!

What was your approach to the OKAPs during 1st yr? 2nd yr?

i'll be doing plastics @ MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

To answer the previous ?: 1st yr-skimmed the BCS, read kanski, & did as many ?'s as I could get my hands on (chern, hyperguide, AAO website, medrounds)
2nd & 3rd yr- just ?'s for review

To answer the previous ?: 1st yr-skimmed the BCS,

Word to the wise: never believe any med student or resident when they say they "skimmed" the book. By skimmed, we usually mean that we only highlighted in two colors instead of three.
