I'm taking the comlex level 1 this june and was planning on buying old kaplan review books from an upper classman and just buying the qbank. Does anyone know if the info in the books really changes from year to year?...thanks!

I'm not sure, but what have you heard about the quality of the kaplan books. I really haven't heard much, but I'm interested to know if they would be a good study resource for comlex step 1.

If I remember correctly, at the start of the kaplan review course, you sign an agreement that after you take your boards, that you will "destroy" the review books...so you don't decrease kaplan sales the next year, so watch our for the copyright police. I thought it was worth the time to go through them all one time, then I focused the rest of my time on Goljan, first aid, Micro review, and Neuro review. Took the USMLE, then spent 1 day reviewing our schools 2 hour comprehensive OMM review and did fine on the comlex. I especially thought the kaplan books helped me solidify physiology and immunology.

Kaplan books helped me for Level 1 as well... but I cannot believe that Kaplan policy that they have destroy all their books once they're done with it. Nice way to destroy trees in the interest of business
