Just starting my application process and this question confuses me.

I did check the other threads on this topic, but am not certain that I fully know whether I should fill this section in (OMSAS application) with other than no... and though I feel I should say "yes it was interrupted", I'm not sure how much to say or ? Please help *confused*.

I took a summer and fall semester away from school as I was volunteering in another country. How much should I elaborate if I do say yes, my program was interrupted? I guess my program was interrupted?

Thank you in advance.

I know you said it was volunteering- was it through a class and/or did you get credits?
Either way, I would bring it up because it gives you a chance to talk about it and it's for a good cause

It was through a non-academic organization. A friend referred the opportunity to me (found it online) and I applied directly to the organization - my university did not grant me credits.
Thanks 🙂

If you haven't tried to fill this in yet, it has a very, very severe character limit. One brief sentence is all you have room for, "I took a semester off to volunteer abroad" or something similar is all you're going to be able to write here.

Definitely realized the character limit. Was able to write something concise. Will elaborate in my detailed application.
