For those already in pharmacy school, what were your living arrangements the first year? Currently? I plan to have an off campus apartment, is this THAT much more of an expense? Thanks for input!

i know some schools have a orientation thing in the summer where you can meet your new classmates and possibly find a roommate, but has anyone have any info or experiences with finding a roommate at a school where they didn't have a orientation or way to connect with your future class? id like to find a roommate but i dont know how it is feasible so im looking at getting an apt. by myself to start off. id prefer living with someone, however 😕

I am living in a 1 person studio apt right next to the library. I have had horrendous roomate experiences that have led me to fear the possible private lives of auburn students. LOL

Dorms are nice because the drunkards will get punished ; i don't know why on earth they don't make more one person dorm rooms. I think 2 people dorms are the definition of stupidity but other than the complete lack of privacy i enjoyed dorm life.

I've been looking at apartments and rooms for rent on the University of Maryland website. School websites sometimes have roomate posting-boards for things like this. I havn't found one yet, but it seems very helpful. Anyone eles going to Baltimore had any luck finding a place yet? or if anyone who is currently there has any hints or suggestions I'd appreciate it!

I have two built in roomates, a wife and a son. When I got my degrees I found that living of campus (granted in Montana) was cheaper by far, my share of rent and util. was about 300/month. I will be moveing this summer and will find a small house off campus (in Wyoming) for somewhere around 5-600/ month. Find someone you can handle it is better to be without a room mate than with someone who stays up all night drinking and playing xbox. Thus I would not recommend meating someone during the first few days of class and signing up for a whole semes. or year, it could become the year from hell.

Yes there is a way. YOu can email [email protected] (Cristina E. Arteaga), the recruitment coordinator. Supposedly people that went to the April 13th reception signed up on a list either looking for a roomate or an apartment. That is your best bet. My parents might buy a place down there so as for me I'm still up in the air but most likely will look for a roomate to share my place with.

**Off topic** Private me please

Hey I've considered AU for Pharm School (once i get ot the PreReqs I am
lacking)
Did you find it tough to get into their school?I would like a student's insight on it..

Did you have a high gpa
I see they want you to take Ant&Physiology but others dont req you to take that

I'm gonna be living in off-campus in an apartment while attending the Univ of Wash this fall. And I'll be rooming with a friend who has nothing to do with any of the health sciences - she's an aspiring fashion designer, which is way awesome (she can make my clothes as I'll be too poor to shop on a college-student budget). 🙂
