One year or 8 quarter units?

So I was wondering which it is. UCSF says 8 quarter units of english but they also say 1 year. If it is 8 quarter units because thats not even 3 units a class.
Some info on this would be nice.
I already have 8 units english (quarter units), but I would rather not have to take another english class...

i think you should be alright. if you are really worried, then ask UCSF directly?

I think you are going to be fine with that. There is no need to take another English class.
