hi everyone,
i'm planning on taking several upper level behavior science courses as part of my degree plan. psych 101 is a prereq for these courses obviously. i need to take psych 101 this summer to stay on track with my degree plan. my school will not offer it this summer (long story).
my advisor suggested taking it online via LSU (i do not attend LSU or live in LA):

would it affect my med school app at all to have this one random course from LSU on my transcript? if there's any chance it would, i'd rather rework my plan rather than risk it. thanks for helping!

Why would it? We all have a ton of online courses on our transcripts for the past three semesters, no matter where we go to school. :)

as long as the online course converts into degree-applicable credits at your home university, you're good to go. check with advisor

Nearly every med school is online right now.

Why should they care if you take single course that's not a prerequisite only??

FYI: In reference to your thread title: There are a few med schools schools that list Behavioral Sciences as a prerequisite.

Yes, that’s true. Since I’ll have upper level behavior science in-person, I can use that for my behavior prereq. But thks for heads up!
