Hi everyone, I was looking into the requirements for individual med schools and most seem to say that they will accept online prerequisites from 2020, however, my undergrad school will continue to do hybrid style teaching in spring of 2021. Several of the premed classes I am going to take in spring 2021 are also only offered remotely (including some lab classes). My school indicates on our transcript if people are studying remotely. Do you guys think med schools will also accept online prerequisites from spring of 2021?

The only way to know for 100% sure is probably to contact the individual schools you’re thinking of applying to and ask. But, considering the circumstances of the pandemic and the amount of schools still online only or hybrid this upcoming semester/quarter, I would think it highly likely they will continue to accept online courses from spring 2021.

The websites probably aren't updated yet, since the 2020-2021 cycle isn't over yet. Once 2021-2022 begins, I'm sure they'll update it to include Spring 2021. There's no way they can't accept online courses, since most of the colleges across the country are using online learning until at least the end of this academic year.
