ok. now i know its a bad idea to have an online program to start.

but i have been unemployed for a while and i was wondering if i could just

take a billing and coding program --would that kill may chances of getting

into medical school.

or should i just forget about the whole thing from the start.

any suggestions?😕

I took a few online classes from the local community college while attending a 4 year university to help take care of some of those general education classes I wasn't a fan of.

Online classes are fine, as long as you make sure they will transfer to your university as the classes you wanted. You really shouldn't take any of your pre-med rec's online.

In terms of taking a billing and coding class, this is something med schools probably won't care much about. If you worked in billing and coding during your undergrad then maybe you could incorporate it into your personal statement, or talk intelligently about heath care finance during you interview.

Hope that helps.

How are you supporting yourself while unemployed. Medical school is one bigass interview and if you can 't get a "regular job" then what makes you think that it matters to your application if you take an online coarse?
