Hello Everyone,

I had just a quick question. I've seen that many medical schools require statistics as a prerequisite and the majority of the ones that do not mention that it is highly recommended. After seeing this, I have tried to fit it into my schedule with limited success. Would an online stats class be looked down upon by medical schools? Or since it is a class without a lab component would it not really matter if it is online?

All advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Many med schools don’t accept online credits. It may still be OK but I think you’d save yourself a lot of stress by taking it in an in class lecture setting. You’d probably learn More too

I took stats online, with no problem. But none of the schools to which I applied required it, so YMMV.

Wrong. Mant medical schools do not accept online science classes with labs and I know my transcript doesnt specify whether it was online or not.

I took stats this summer online and I am taking it agai with the same professor in person. Stats is not a class I recommend for online.
