Only applying to one school

A custody battle would ensue and likely, IF you have support wherever you got accepted, the judge would approve your keeping custody.

I'm a single parent. I moved out of state, out of country; it went before a judge and the judge signed. Every time. Highly unlikely any judge is going to say you can't be a doctor AND have custody.

I'm just now studying for MCAT and will take this spring. My cGPA is low, 3.4, due to my first bachelors, but my sGPA is 3.8 at this point, I believe. My target MCAT is about 10 points higher than the average at the school I'm applying to (granted, that's target only so doesn't mean anything lol )
If your MCAT is at least 507 you will probably be competitive for the one local DO school you are applying to. PM me if you wish since knowing your exact residence location would be very helpful in giving advice.

Due to my family situation (single mom with kids in school), I cannot relocate for school. There is one school that is an option for me (which I absolutely love, thank goodness). Does anyone know how many people only apply to one school? Just wondering how "crazy" that is 🙂

If I decide to apply to medical school, I will only being applying to one school. It is a state school who recently began a rural medicine program in conjunction with the local university (and my alma mater) and local medical center in the city in which I reside. They have a very strong preference for in-state applicants, so I figure if I can't get in there, I can't get in anywhere. If I don't get in, well, it be like that sometimes, and I will not miss a beat.

I only completed a secondary for one school, related to something similar. Waiting to hear my decision from my interview, should be some time next week. It’s definitely not ideal to apply to only one, but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I wish you the best of luck!
