This recruiter must be super awesome if she can attract a person with a certification that doesn't exit. http://abpath.org/ExamDates2013Subspecialty.pdf Why is it that recruiters often are woefully ignorant of the positions which they are recruiting for? I've seen the same thing in forensic pathology as well. Why is there a disconnect between employers saying they can't find good applicants for their openings and people who claim to be good applicants claiming they cannot find gainful employment?

Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) is one of the nation’s premier academic medical center hospitals and is the main teaching hospital for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Northwestern Memorial provides over 850 beds in the Feinberg Pavillion, Prentice Women’s Hospital, and Stone Institute of Psychiatry. The new Lurie Children’s Hospital, across the street from NMH, opened in 2012. Clinical, research, and teaching activities are enhanced by the presence of the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute, the Northwestern Alzheimer Disease Center, and the Northwestern /McGaw GME Neuropathology Fellow Training Program. Significant expansion of the neurological surgery and neuro-oncology services occurred over the last two year, further enhancing the diversity and number of challenging specimens that we receive. Currently the neuropathology service receives approximately 650 neurosurgical specimens a year, at least 75% of which are CNS tumors, and 280 autopsy cases a year, approximately 65% with CNS examination. Through the Alzheimer Disease Center, ALS Center, and Movement Disorders Center, we receive approximately 55 brain autopsies per year. The opportunity for research at the clinical, translational, and basic science level is exceptional.

The hospital / medical school complex is located in Chicago’s beautiful “Gold Coast” neighborhood, just blocks from Lake Michigan and the Magnificent Mile.
