So I'm an Ophthalmic technician and a scribe at an optometrists office...I know it's not as perfect as being a medical scribe in the ER or what have you...but do you consider it clinical and worth mentioning in an interview?
I bring patients back, take medical histories (medications, allergies, chief complains etc) and when the doctor comes in I record the patient interaction on the computer. This particular office that I work in is about 60:40 medical cases to regular eye exams, so it's not like very one that comes in just needs new glasses. Would it be advantageous to talk about this if, in an interview, they ask about my clinical experience? Sometimes there's a stigma against optometrists because "they don't do surgery" or whatever but we see some pretty interesting stuff every day.
