Opinion with taking two science classes

Hello fellow pre-meds. Just want to know your opinions on taking two science classes, Organic Chemistry I and General Biology I, along with Calculus I with additional GE courses. Do you guys think I'm overloading myself for next semester?

That's about the average number of science classes for frosh/soph. You take a 3-4 as upperclassmen. In med school all your classes are pretty much bio classes.

Yeah...it's not as bad as it sounds. I took three science classes with lab (orgo being one of them), "calculus II" and a Spanish lit class 2nd semester sophomore year. As usual, it's a bit of work, but definitely doable.

Normal. Just smoke the first tests in each.

I had a similar schedule during my 1st and 2nd year.

easily doable. get all the crap out of the way as fast as possible so you can take the courses you want later.

Fall semester (during junior year) I took 4 sciences - two bio, biochem, and physics - and one humanities course. Definitely doable.

I'm a BME and this past semester, I took Control Systems, Biomechanics, Engineering Physio Lab, Thermodynamics, and Dev. Psychology for fun. If I can do it, you can do it my friend 😉

In order to get all of your pre-req's in prior to the MCAT, you MUST take 2 sciences at once. Since Calculus is not required for the MCAT, just take it in summer school if you feel you may not do well with all 3 courses at once.
