Bah. You know what came out around the same time as Orbitz that I *did* like?

Yeah. It was green. And so full of sugar and caffeine that I'm surprised I'm still alive. 😉

Isn't this back on the market now as Jolt or Volt or something along those lines?
I also enjoyed this as a child, though I believe my mother did not enjoy the effects it caused!

I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out on which thread we had this discussion... had no idea it was the "Opinions" thread. I was checking the Rave here thread...

Tim Hortons has the new caramel cafe mocha. Mmm, love.

I miss Pepsi Blue 🙁

Vault! I don't remember how Surge tastes (though I do recall loving it at the time, and then I had it again some years later at the Coke World in Las Vegas) but Vault is pretty stinking good.

Omggg moving away from Canada to the states was torture mainly because of no Aero bars
You can get Aero bars around here. Down in Texas, you can at least. Had an uncle that used to love them and they always remind me of him whenever I see them.

I miss Pepsi Blue

Holy crap if there's one thing I don't miss, it's Pepsi Blue. Stuff tasted like a medicine they had me on when I was in the hospital with a broken leg.

There is such a divide between love and hate for all of these weird foods.

How the heck did food come up in the opinions thread??? Was it because people were talking about roasted angels? That's what was going on last time I checked 😕

Toasted walnuts with Nutella 🙂

Here is one thing I want to ask pre-vet/vet students about there opinions on the circus. When I brought it up it kinda got brushed off and most people who did comment said "don't assume we agree with that!"

So does anyone agree with it? What are the thoughts behind someone who is against a circus but not, say, a petting zoo- or maybe one of those places where they do animal shows for people entertainment but its a permanent facility? If you don't agree with any kind of facility like this then where is the line drawn for people to say its ok to keep wild animals on display? (or to keep wild animals in general at there homes)

I visited a sanctuary once for tigers where the lady who ran the place made it seem like she was the only one ever who should keep tigers (she was against zoos and against other sanctuarys saying that they were not good enough)- ok so for someone like that- why would she think its ok to keep a tiger? Is that not selfish? I know the tigers need a home, but where does that attitude come from and where is the line drawn? Is it ok to say that only the accredited zoos should keep wild animals but no one else? Opinions please.

You buncha evil monsters.. now I want Nutella! My friend's host mom in Spain always used to say that peanut butter was what made Americans fat right before she'd go make herself a huge Nutella sandwich.. she was the first to introduce me to the stuff mmmmmmmmm

Haha, real peanut butter (not the Jif sugar crap or whatever - the stuff with ingredients that consist of peanuts and salt only) is pretty good for you! Better than Nutella, anyway....

Because Nutella is such a paragon of health!

OK it's a little sad that I've been more active in this food thread than like any other.

But. I have to offer up a contender for best Peanut Butter ever.
(Unless by "best" you meant "healthiest", then...not so much.)

I...have never had Nutella 😀

Go out and find some as soon as you can.

I stopped eating dairy about three years ago - and I've got to say, I don't really miss milk at all, or even cheese, but the thought of Nutella crepes will forever haunt my dreams 🙂

I don't see any problem with a petting zoo... well... depends on how it's run. Petting zoo = domesticated animals. Circuses = exotics. I'm one of the few people on here who would never work in a zoo or a marine park for instance because I don't agree with using wild animals just to earn a buck.

I'm currently drinking organic raspberry lemonade soda. Nom nom nom.

I think zoos and marine parks CAN have a positive function though. Just exposing people to the animals may bring a certain few to become interested enough to enter fields like veterinary medicine, conservation, etc.

Although yes, most of it is to earn a buck...I just try to find the silver lining.

I worked at an exotic petting zoo the summer after high school. Sooo...they DO exist! And actually, now that I'm better educated, I'm irritated by its existence. The animals were well-cared for, but not intelligently cared for. For instance, a capuchin monkey--a very social species--was kept in a cage alone. No wonder she would attack when the door was opened to feed her. 🙁

The owner also ran the local strip club. She got the kids AND the adults! Now that's a business-woman right there. 👍

FYI, I quit because she kept prodding me to work at her "nightclub."

Holy crap. I want. LOVE raspberry lemonade.
What brand is it, and can I find it in the good old US of A?

It's Santa Cruz organic. It's not bad.

Also... why can't all "zoos" and "marine parks" be rescue and rehabilitation centers instead? You know... take in sick and injured wildlife or wild animals that were pets and were confiscated for example... you can educate the public, do a good deed, and make a few bucks.

Most do take a fair number of rescue/rehab/abandon animals.

However, animals are expensive, and you can't take a pet lemur and throw it into a lemur colony. so providing adequate seperate housing, socialization, etc drives the price sky high and many curators don't feel it is fair to the animal that has now been abandoned from the only social system it knows (human.) also, animals that have been reared by humans instead of by conspecifics can actually be dangerous to keepers and visitors. Also, in species with survival plans (breeding programs to repopulate wild areas) animals from private owners generally can't be used.

I'm still not sure where the 'bucks' are!

There is this "Traveling Zoo" That comes to the NY State Fair each year and its awful. It is literally a tractor trailer with small enclosures built into the wall. They have a ring-tailed lemur kept in an enclosure smaller than my dog's crate. 🙁

On happier thoughts...

I don't like non-sweetened peanut butter

At first it was an adjustment but I can honestly say that since I've only been eating real peanut butter for the last couple of years, the other stuff basically tastes WAY too sweet and basically like some kind of weird peanut frosting now.

I am LOLing in the library right now.

I actually don't like peanuts, so by extension pureed peanuts is kind of icky to me.

Also, if you're really craving peanut butter: http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/47481?
