Hello all,

I am soon to be getting out of the military and extremely interested in becoming a pharmacist. I am going to receive the MGIB which will be wonderful in paying for the schooling.

Before the military I did two and a half years of university which I completed most of my gen eds. I took Gen Chem (B+ I think), Eng 101, etc. But, those credits will be over six years old by the time I am ready to apply for Pharm school. I assume that I will need to retake these credits? Also, would I essentially have a clean slate for GPA? (left with a 3.0)

If I am basically starting over would it be a good idea to get into a 0-6 program? or is that really for high schoolers? I have ruled out the 2-3 even though it could save me money with the GI bill. I'm not an exceptionally quick learner... but, its stuck once in my head.

Any answers and or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Before you assume, you'll have to look at each school's policy to find out what is too old and what is not.

The 0-6 would depend on how much you have to start over and what pre-reqs you have completed already. You may find situations where you have to just spend 1 year doing coursework and spend 4 years in pharmacy school, which would save you one year.
