Hi, my name is Irwin and I am only in 9th grade (lol), but I am interested in a optometrist. I need to gain some knowledge on the topic first though. Here it is:

- college details, how many courses, years
- do i need a PHD, Masters, Bachelors degree?
- What is the annual income of an optometrist, and a self hired optometrist (i know self hired gets a higher income over the years)
- is UW, University of Washington a strong optometry University? I know its very strong in Medical Courses
- How difficult will college be for me? (Consider i am only 14 years old, don't try to stress me with how difficult college optometry will be lol 😀)

Thanks!

If you're in 9th grade, the prudent thing to do is to not worry about optometry so much right now. It's good to have long term goals but for now, focus on doing well in high school, learning how to learn, developing good study habits and as much as is reasonably possible, enjoy the high school experience. As you move forward, don't worry too much about whether this school or that school has the "best" medical or optometry programs. Worry more about getting accepted into a college that is the best for YOU. Virtually every college and university out there will have the pre-requisites you'll need available.
