Program: Detroit Medical Center, Detroit Receiving Hospital
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Start Date: July, 2018
The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital now has an opening for 2 one year non categorical OMFS Internship positions. The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the Detroit Medical Center is looking for a qualified individual who is interested and motivated to pursue a career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The OMFS program at the DMC practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with emphasis on maxillofacial trauma, orthognathics, benign pathology, and dento-alveolar surgery. As a non categorical resident you will function as a first year resident. You will take call, work in the outpatient clinics and go to cases in the OR. Interns will receive the salary and benefits of a categorical PGY1 resident. Historically, interns of our program have an impressively high rate of matching into OMS the following year.
