Does anyone else have a hard time imagining how this could ever be clinically relevant? I mean, I understand why there needs to be a basic understanding of physics concepts for complicated systems of the body, but I cannot invest myself into orgo 2 because it doesn't seem useful in my future career.

As a side note, Im doing very well in the class, but studying feels exceptionally painful. And also, my MCAT is already out of the way..

Med schools don't make you take it because it's clinically relevant. They want to see how well you can learn and assimilate very abstract concepts in a virtually foreign language. If you ask me, that's almost a perfect weeder course for med school, don't you agree?

👍

You aren't going to see it now because I bet there is barely anything in ochem 2 that directly relates to med school, but there is plenty of ochem in biochem which is clinically relevant. If you take biochem it will make sense.

I took biochem before orgo 2 and did very well. I suppose I see how it can supplement knowledge of the systems and especially pharm. I think I'm having a little bit of senioritis?
