My application to the OHSU School of Dentistry was considered complete on 08/01/2024. Does anyone know how long it usually takes OHSU to send interview invitations once your application is considered complete?

Last year they sent out interview invites on 8/1, and I saw somewhere that they had been saying this year they would send out interview invitations in early August. So honestly any day now people should be hearing back!

I hope your interview went well!! I wanted to see if you could provide any info about the timeline of the interview, like when it starts/ends, etc? I’m trying to figure out if I need to take off work or just do a half day. Thanks in advance! 🙂

When I asked two weeks before my interview, they said interviews were from 8am-2pm PT and the interview could be any 30 minute block during that time. One week before, they told me my interview time.

Hi I have my virtual interview this week and was wondering if you had any advice on how it went and how to prepare?🙏
They will ask you 5 questions that encourage you to reflect on your experience with over coming challenges, working with others as a team, how receptive you are to constructive criticism/feedback, and things of that nature. I would recommend that you prepare by doing a thorough reflection of yourself to identify strengths/weaknesses and to remember a handful of of challenging situations that you have been though and overcame (typically related to academics or work experiences). But don’t memorize a potential responses, just have a few memories of experiences in mind that you can discuss. Most importantly, take a deep breath to relax, and remember that it is 100% okay to pause before answering a question to give yourself a moment to think about your response.

Thank you sooo much!

The On-Site Open House will be held on November 16.
It is noted that attendance at this event is optional and will not impact the acceptance into the program.
I am wondering if it’s okay not to attend the On-Site Open House, as it is too far from my location.
I am also curious if anyone has been accepted into the program without attending the On-Site Open House.

Did everyone just receive an email to register for the OHSU Dentistry Virtual Information Sessions? I have not received an interview thus far from Oregon, and I am confused about this session. Any insight?

I received it too! But I don't think it has to do with an upcoming interview. It's just an information session.
