alright guys i need words of encouragement

i looks like if i'm lucky i would get a C or there is a chance i can fail 🙁 . i resigned up for the class to take it over in the summer.... what to do...will this make me look really bad when schools look at my transcript?

From what I've read a C or two doesn't put you out of the running for d-school, but what will look bad, IMHO, is if you end with a C and then retake it in the summer and finish with a C- or D. Just buckle down work your @$$ off and murder the final. 😀

I agree, you've got to nail it when you take it the second time. And, perhaps even more importantly, you've got to master the material to the extent that you can do well on the DAT. You don't want your DAT score brought down because of OChem.

don't sweat it. i have 2 D's, retook the courses and got 2 A's. Everyone still thinks I can get into great schools because my gpa is still over a 3.5 with those D's averaged in. in fact, i think if you do poorly in a course and ace it the 2nd time around, it shows persistence. just make sure you don't make a habit out of it.

Another option would be getting the C and not retaking it.

If you retake a course you are pretty much expected to get an A in it, after all it is the second time looking the material over. I know that med schools look at all grades you've recieved, including the ones that you retook, not sure how dental schools look at it though 😕 . Either way, make sure to kill ochem the second time around, and I agree with ItsGavinC in that you need to make sure you own the material for the DAT. Screw the grade, focus on understanding the material. That was my approach to ochem and I got an A both semesters. Good Luck :luck:
