HI!

Im taking my OATs in about 3 weeks and I'm having a hard time with Organic and Physics.

Organic : Spectroscopy
I was wondering if the test is more general on this subject or are there any questions at all on this. Should I focus alot of my time on this? Or should I just memorize things like carbonyl bond is found around 1700.. etc

Physic:
Im not getting the right anwers but I have a general idea of it. How do I go about solving them?

please help

if you know any good physics review book let me know. thanks

don't waste your time with spectroscopy just know the carbonyl and hydroxyl groups which I think is 1700 and 3500. Maybe have a general idea of what spectroscopy is helpful for. I got a 400 on ochem and that's all I knew. I'd be shocked if you had more than 1 question on it and there's a good chance you won't have any. Good luck!

I had 2 questions on mass spec. Don't spend too much time worrying about it.. both of mine were pretty general, all I needed to know was where the basic groups were.

I used my physics text to study for the OAT, I'm not sure about any good review books. I think Kaplan does a terrible job with physics, it's way too detailed and nitpicky.

I am having trouble with physics too so I started using the Destroyer physics book. I just go through the questions and solutions and am learning from that..I think its working..and will come with practice.

I think the SAT physics book by kaplan helps a lot... it is very easy to understand compared to the physics in the subject review book that comes with the kaplan OAT course. the subject review book is way too particular
