Hey everyone I have a quick question on orgo. As for the chapter over substitution and elimination, does anyone have suggestions as to how to understand the material better? It is the only chapter so far that I've had more difficulty with. I'm not memorizing the mechanisms btw I've learned to understand them. But does anyone have tips or anything as to how to do good/ get a better understanding of this topic?

Anything is greatly appreciated!

You're going to struggle for sure, just like everyone else. The best advice is to do all the problems in the chapter and at the end of each chapter. That should help you understand the best.

Lol I always do all the problems

LOL!!! You're not really doing problems if you're looking at the answer key every thirty seconds.

I see how this relevant because of when OP said he checked the answers every 30 seconds.

Yea I don't do that- I actually DO the problems. Maybe that's why I got the highest grade in my class on the first exam.

how's it going stalker mcloaf?

I am good. Amused that you don't understand that because we post in the same forums I unfortunately can't help but come across your posts, no stalking involved. Confusing I know.

🙂

If you're doing ok in the class then I'd trust yourself to get better with practice. If that doesn't work I'd seek out the professor or a tutor before exam time rolls around.

Yes, you and your small group of troll hunter friends count as everyone on SDN. Thanks for clarifying that!

So disregarding the wet hairy armpit troll hijack, try exploring this site

or get Organic Chemistry as a Second Language. Both are useful.

You're wrong. You posted before me in this thread, so according to the armpit troll's logic, I am stalking you. Be proud! :hardy:

Dude unless you want to have a mod or admin ban you, stop derailing threads.

I didn't derail anything, it was actually started by you! Please see your own amazing quote!

This armpits guy has been making stupider posts every day. He's an upcoming First Year Troller

I offered this gentleman an honest opinion and I gave it him. It's what he asked for, isn't it!?!?

Where is the GTFO Gif for armpits when you need it?

Come on man! Don't be harsh! I always love the sensation of those wet, juicy, humid armpits... Just look at that avatar and tell me how is that not an offer to refuse?? :naughty::naughty:

Okay, so let's end this armpit hijack and shift to the main focus.

Nope. It started when you criticized mcloaf for stalking you.

Honesty doesn't mean ridiculing, sarcasm or random unproductive response.

So OP, here's the consensus

1. Profs office hours
2. That weblink
3. Orgo as second language
4. Redo problems?
5. KhanAcademy, etc.

I personally think Orgo as sec language and going to office hours will help most

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but you're wrong. You two were actually stalking me in the MCAT Discussion thread today. So I am just stating the facts.

LOLOLOLOL I just saw it. Hahahahaha

Sooooo why did both of you click on my thread in the MCAT section and decide to post something that had nothing to do with the topic? Did Saddam Hussein make you do it?

Nope. It was that Iran guy who made us do it.

Quoted for emphasis.

The Master Organic Chemistry site helped me a lot when I was first learning that stuff.
https://www.google.com/search?q=mas...61,d.dmQ&fp=37a80e3808c597d1&biw=1366&bih=643

To understand the concept and the basics I would write an outline of the reaction processes in my own words after reading up on everything(in both my textbook, lecture notes and online).

Also quoted again for emphasis.

The thread derailing is making all the useful stuff get cluttered with the troll's posts.

I know. Well, let's just believe the moist armpit troll = :diebanana: and :troll:.

OP, I hope you got your answers that you're looking for.

Gentlemen, I clearly won this argument. It's too bad you guys had to derail this thread. I hope the mods and admin blokes don't ban you.

I liked looking at how illicit drugs are synthesized. My favorites would have to be methylamphetamine and desomorphine (Krokodil).
