Question,
I was wondering whether there is any restrictions in regards to primary, seconday, and tertiary bonding when it comes to KMNO4, Grignard and LiAlH4?

I'm not sure if KMNO will oxidize a tertiary alcohol, or if it will, what the product will be - after all, if you're switching up to a carbonyl, you've got to break one of your bonds to one of the substituent chains. I don't think I've ever actually come across the question before, though.
