quick question concerning markovnikov


ok i know radical addition is a staple w/ uv light
now if its X2 like Br2---in UV light w/ alkanes
does it go according to mark's rule
also i was reading
br2 added to alkenes in light goes against mark

also HBr to alkenes in UV light is anti mark right??

Br2 in UV light is selective. This means the bromine will abstract from the hydrogen that will form the most stable radical.

HBr to alkene in UV light is anti-markovnikov (radical mechanism)
