Has anyone ever applied and matched into an ortho program with out taking GRE?

There are specific programs that require it. There are some that don’t.

It’s a fairly straightforward exam. prepping for it shouldn’t take you all that long. 3-4 weeks of a couple of hours a day is more than enough.

Best resource and cheapest ($5 a month) is gregmat.com. Practice Qs that use official material. Strategy videos. Videos teaching math. High quality.

I toyed with this idea at one point but the number of programs that don’t require a GRE are small.
You would be limiting your options quite a bit especially if you’re serious about specializing in ortho.
