I was talking to a friend and he stated that it is common knowledge that Osteopathic programs are easy to get accepted into and not as prestegious as Allopathic programs. His quote was that it is definitely the 'lesser of the two programs'. However in the Osteopathic forum they state that DO's can do more than MD's and that all MD residencies are open to DO's, but there are some residencies that are open to DO's but not to MD's.

Anyone hear anything like that? Thoughts?

Um, these MD vs DO threads always rapidly deteriorate and thus will be rapidly locked. Just let those on each board be happy with their decisions for reasons that needn't be aired or compared.

not THIS thread... AGAIN...

Never heard of this DO thing.

Can we get the Mod to close this thread.
