Sure, blame it on us 😉

Actually, Meek has gotten picky & has to approve all used scopes. That took a bunch of them out of the resale loop. Decent new ones when I was looking were around $1200.

$1200?? totally ridiculus to expect someone to shell that out just starting school. i doubt there is *that* much difference in them anyway. just a bunch of meekocytes with remediation granules that contain painicide and heartachelysin.

i'll definitely mention this scope mess thing on my exit interview, lol.

you have an exit interview?

Meek is awesome. My favorite time of first year were spent in his class, but I didnt realize it until after the year was over😉

that sounds funny.... well Dr. Caveman, now that you have your degree from here, how about filling out a comment card on your experience... sounds somewhat in poor taste

It would look that we should plan toward the 12th of March or 9th of April. It appears the most people would be able to attend on these dates for dinner...

Both dates are fridays and dinner is the only real option... so if we could all discuss which of the two dates or just figure on using both dates... being as they are a month apart....

Of course, I would hope that all spouses, significant others, and current students would also be able to make it to the dinner if able...

for preliminary planning purposes, lets get a count on the number of people... for reservations(if necessitated) and restaurant choice.

thanks and any interested in attending please respond

DrDad

I'm free for both times, and I'm already making plans for the first one.

I don't know where we decided to eat, but I think it should be some place fun.

My suggestion is Tokyo Garden or some other Hibachi Asian cuisine.

They play with fire and do all sorts of fun tricks and it's very entertaining.

It's also healthy food, and you can get almost anything you want....chicken, beef, pork, seafood, vegetarian, tofu etc......

I think it would be a better variety than some other suggested places too.

Any other ideas feel free.

Also for those of you that didnt bring the kiddies along maybe we could go play pool afterwards or something......

We're available both dates. We like most places.

Ohhhh.... Fire!..... Sounds cool

Sorry I've been gone, been super busy at work....... the 12th sounds cool, I like the idea of Japanese!!!! Slice'm and Dice'm,,,, sounds like my future...lolol

places like Tokyo garden will work fine if we have 8 people, but if we have more, we'll end up all split up. if you're trying to have this dinner to get to know each other, that may not be the best option. it's your party, though, so you guys figure out what you want.

as of right now, we have approximately 12 people coming.... It would be more likely to have more people assuming that the current students will also attend...

current students... please let us know if the date will work for you and if you will attend with Sig Other....

I am thinking that we will likely end up with approximately 20 people...(it is possible, and somewhat likely)

If we found a place that could accomodate 15 though... I think we would be fine...

DrMom, as u say tokyo garden is best for 8's, should we look at other places... ?

DrDad

Sorry everyone, I've got to back out on the March dinner.

I've got too many conflicts I'd have to move around that have arisen since we decided on the dates. It's tough to leave the state for a weekend when you have a full-time job.

However, I will be up there for sure on Easter weekend, so let's maintain plans for that date as well. Hopefully the first meeting in March will go so well that more people will come to the April one.

See everyone in April!

Places like Tokyo garden are not set up for larger groups. You can check around, but I know that Chimi's on 15th has a decent room. We fit a group of over 20 (maybe close to 30) in there last summer. There are other places that have rooms, too.

BUmedic... Sorry to lose you for March,....

but....

oohhh.... Chimi's .....

there is a smaller restaurant somewhat near the school at 45 and peoria called La Hacienda.... we could reserve if we knew how many definite attendees...

are y'all still meeting next week? i haven't heard much talk about it.

i havent either.... i guess not.... or rather dont know...

I am still game...

Are we still on for April 9th?

Lets plan guys

DrDad
