Other things besides clinical/hospital work

For those of you done with residency and in practice now...
I have been looking at doing some other business activities outside of the clinical arena. Related to healthcare but not involving patient care directly. Anyone has any experience with this? Also, my hospital was trying to get me to do some administrative work. Seems appealing but I am sure there has to be some negative repercusion.
