I am a DO in an allopathic residency, so I don't get many opportunities to see DO students. But from what I can tell, the OU students are certainly on par with the local MD students. I would say they also have a reputation that is positive in the state.
I would hate to grade a school purely on the COMLEX...I think that is a faulty assumption. The COMLEX is a bad test, poorly written despite the validity scores the JAOA spews forth.
I would much rather have a clinically sound student or be part of a medical school with solid hospital rotations and affiliations.
As for their graduates, they are good, as I have worked with many residents.
And nope, I didn't go to OU.
