There's one with a grid, and one for fast lenses/manual focusing outdoors (i.e. with macro).

The grid one might be kinda neat. No way I'd switch out the screen every time I'm going out to shoot macro though.

I think about 6 feet... and 70-200 has about 4.5ft... so definitely could.. but won't get as good of a boque with f5.6... ehhhhh...

Have you ever owned a lens with push/pull zoom? My fave lens on the nikon was like that, and I think I actually like it better. Feels a lot more natural to me.
