Hello Everyone,
I am a third year student at Washington University in St. Louis and I am looking to become part of an outreach program abroad (preferably). I have tried a few different places, but have no had any luck in finding a program. Does anyone know of an outreach program that accepts student volunteers?

Talk to churches around your local area if you live in a metropolitan area (STL for example). I've heard of congregations around Little Rock that take audiologists and students along with them on mission trips. One recent graduate spent some time in South America and picked up a ton of experience.

Starkey Foundation also does trips abroad, although I have no idea if they would be interested in taking students.

our chapter of SAA got involved in a humanitarian project in Mexico the same way. years ago one of the students attended a church in the states that had a sister church in Mexico, and it just so happened that the sister church in Mexico had a lot of people with hearing loss. we've been working with the Mexican town ever since.
