Owning a business as Pre-Med?

How would co-owning a business as a pre-med student look on a med school application? Owning and managing a financial firm while still attending school full time, dedicating time to volunteering (some hours as a representative of the business) and clinical research. Does the fact that it is not medically related negatively impact my application?

Some folks may get bent out of shape that you're running a for-profit enterprise and aren't sacrificing yourself on the Altar of Altruism, but honestly it looks really damn good.

As long as you've ticked all of the other boxes, this is much better than the other club-related leadership nonsense many premeds rack up.
