HI,
I just wanted to say that I accepted my offer to get into the second year program in Veterinary college in PEI, I am wondering if there is any one out there who got accepted in the same program or even to the first year program, so may be we could meet here before we go to PEI.

Congrats on getting in! Im not going to PEI, but i was wondering, if you dont live in PEI, how did you get to apply there? Are you from another atlantic province? If your not please tell me your secret as Ive heard only PEI students can go to PEI for Vet school!? Thanks!!!

Well thank you first,
Second, PEI is only for students who from Maritimes provinces (PEI, NFL. NB and Nova Scotia)

I am not from any of them ... lol 😀 , I am from Toronto , Ontario, But in PEI the previous provinces restrictions applies only to first year acceptance, They have what is called a transfer program where you get to go to the second year direct no matter where your province is ( I guess except if you are from western Canada may be no.. not sure about that)
Any way the second year program for those who already finished a veterinary degree from out side Canada (some where not accredited by AVMA) or finished at least one year in AVMA accredited school and want to transfer to Canada. So usually they have about 4-80 applicants each year and they all compete on 2-4 places only because these places depends on the first year students who do not make it to the second year for whatever reason( some years there is no seats at all because all students pass the first year to the second one .
So as you can see it is very competitive, this year they offered only two seats and I got one of them.

I have my Veterinary degree from Jordan (5 years) and also I just finished my master of Physiology from U of M.
