I wouldn’t waste your breath on them. There are some people who just have to make themselves feel better by bringing others down. Prestige isn’t everything. Some people might choose state DO schools because they want to be close to home, save money, etc. It isn’t our place to judge or predict the success someone will have based on the school they go to.
I agree with everything you said execept is was not my intention to put down others to make myself feel better. Like you said, going to a school that meets your needs is all that maters.

They definitely do have good programs, but I would argue that some DO schools, usually the state ones, are on par with those for the most part.
Tell you what Premed. Finish half of medical school before you talk. Over 20% of your graduating year will be DO doctors. Be respectful.

Lmao. Wake Forest and Colorado are better than every DO school combined.

I go to one of the "best" DO schools and we can't touch MD schools like that.

I wasn’t saying state DO schools were better than those MD schools. I was just didn’t like the attitude of @TheDelOperator towards DO schools. I remember when I only had DO acceptances and my friends with MD acceptances looked down on me because of this. It made me feel like crap. Instead of having a pissing contest between MD and DO, we should learn to corporate.

Sounds like people who I wouldn’t want to be friends with

And I get that, but that comment wasn't a pissing contest between MD and DO. That poster didn't say anything that wasn't true and definitely didn't say it in a malicious way. Those friends sound like losers.

Agreed. Luckily, at least from my experience, it isn't very common and most MD students and attendings are great to work. As long as you work hard and treat everyone you encounter with respect, most could care less what letters are behind your name.
