I'm anxiously awaiting my wait-list today (c'mon alma mater. show the love 😍 ) The only thing holding me back is what I thought was a subpar interview with Frantz. I just hope it didn't cause a rejection.

I live on the West Coast, so I'll post when I get the letter, whether it's acceptance, waitlist, or rejection. I think mails probably get faster to bigger cities like L.A. then to smaller towns in California.

I want to say congrats to all those accepted. I received an acceptance letter too today. For info purposes I received the letter in central jersey (about 45 min away from NYC) and my last name begins with P if they delivered the letter in batches alphabetically. Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and I also wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting updates and contacting the admission office these last couple of weeks. SDN has really helped me keep informed.

Now I'm starting to over-read into every word Columbia says.
I called today because I am flying out to Michigan for an interview a week from today (for an interview on Friday). I asked if I can find out my decision early. The secretary took my name and put me on hold. She came back a couple minutes later and said Dean frantz was unavailable.
She said that I'll hear tomorrow. I asked if I can call back later because there is a cancellation fee on my flight if I dont cancel by tonight. To this she replied, "You'll hear tomorrow".
To me that means that I wont be needing to cancell my flight. I'm betting I get a waitlist (again!) or a rejection.
Congrats to all those that got in already. Hopefully I'll be joining you... eventually.

i was waitlisted...so not everyone is getting good news. oh well, guess i'll have to fight the long battle now...
p&s was my first choice, i sent an loi to frantz, i'm from columbia, i work at p&s now, and i had strong stats. this makes no sense. ah well...should've played more rubgy i suppose.

ugh. I'm in Chicago - I didn't get anything in the mail today. I'm guessing we'll all get something by tomorrow or Saturday though since it sounds like they've mailed out everything including pre-interview rejections. Good luck (with your nerves and with your results).

You're in NYC and didnt get anything? This is so bizarre. Even if you got a waitlist or rejection letter (sent first class mail and not priority) and even if your letter was sent in the "second batch" (yesterday and not tuesday) you still should get it the next day, living in the same city.

I got waitlisted too. I did research at P&S, volunteered at Presbyterian's ER, and interviewed with Frantz.

🙁 Sorry to see all the waitlists, guys. I haven't gotten any word yet either way. Do you think interviewing with Frantz and then being waitlisted is a bad sign about your chances of coming off the waitlist? *sigh*

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the consensus seems to be that acceptance letters were sent out tuesday and waitlist/rejection letters were sent yesterday? Does anyone have any evidence that contradicts this? I would imagine that by tomorrow, everyone in the NE will have heard, one way or another.

Still nothing in the mail today, and I live in Philly. Also - I called the office again today and they verified that all acceptances were sent on tuesday. The combination of these two facts seems to me the kiss of death. Anyone care to comment, or anyone else in a similar situation?
it's funny how every time someone calls the office they give a different response. i know from reading this thread and previous ones that it seems like they send out acceptances both on tues. and wed. but who knows? maybe they're just saying whatever because so many people are calling.

Nothing in the mail today, I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs. I did get another piece of mail from NYC (not related to med school) today which was postmarked 2/25. But I know NYC has a ton of zip codes so who knows. Not trying to add to the paranoia or anything. Here's hoping that the person who said they were still making decisions till the end of this week was rite!
