Hey everyone, I recently graduated this May and I will be taking a gap year to figure everything out. I'm currently deciding between OD and PA, and I wanted to get some advice about the PA profession. I've heard that PA was becoming oversaturated, but I wanted to get other opinions. My goal is to go into the military after school and practice.

There are certainly some areas of over saturation. Mostly in states with the most PA programs. Generally I can find 2-3 dozen local job postings daily between the 3 systems in my area. For sure going into the military, post PA school, would be a guaranteed job. So, unless you are dead set on a particular over saturated market, you shouldn't worry about finding a job after PA school. Also noting though the current COVID situation which has made it more difficult for some new grads to find jobs.
